Gobbler's Run is back for 2021 as an IN-PERSON event. The Jim Allen Group presents the 16th Annual Gobbler’s Run 5K. This family-friendly event takes place in Wake Forest, NC on Thanksigiving morning. With all proceeds benefiting the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club, this family-friendly event is a great way to support the community. Gobbler's Run has generated over half a million dollars for the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club! Where else can you run with 2,000 of your closest friends, exercise before the biggest meal of the year AND help 1,000 kids at the same time?
The last day to be guaranteed a t-shirt is November 1st.Packet Pickup:
- Kids age 5 & under are free (no t-shirt)
- Ages 6 -15
- $15 before 10/18
- $20 10/18-11/20
- $25 11/21-11/25
- Ages 16 & Up
- $20 before 10/18
- $25 10/18-11/20
- $30 11/21-11/25
Packet pickup will be held on Tuesday 11/23 and Wednesday 11/24 from 4pm-7pm at the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club.
Virtual Race Option:
If you can't make it to the event on Thanksgiving morning you may choose to participate virtually. Complete your 5K run/walk any time between Nov 1 and Nov 30 and add your time to the online results. Details will be provided.
Virtual participants who register by Nov 1 will get a race shirt. You may either pick it up at packet pickup, have a friend pick it up at packet pickup, or have it mailed to you for $10.
If you want your time in the online results you have two alternatives:
- Use the ItsYourRace mobile app to track, measure, record and time your run. The app will notify you when you have completed the 5K distance and prompt you to upload your time to the online results. You can also choose to add a selfie or other photo to your results.
- Track/time your run however you want (watch, GPS, other mobile app). After your run add your time to the ONLINE RESULTS. Find your name in the Virtual 5K results, click the Update Time button, and add your time.
